Making the Grade

Psalm 62:8 - Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Ephesians 3:14-19 - For this reason I now my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith–that you, being rooted and grounded in live, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height an depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Dear God, thank You God for not grading me. If I were being graded by You, I would be in a panic because there are undoubtedly times that I do not quite make the grade. Hearing things like "why doesn't she get it, she's so smart?!?" or "act your age!" are the world's way of grading people. Even autistics seem to get graded. "You're so smart, you can't be autistic!" or "you can use the bathroom by yourself, you must not have autism!" If only everyone would stop comparing themselves to others. God, thank You that at the end of my life, the only grade You will have for me is an A fpbecause I trust in You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
