Do Not Be Anxious

Genesis 28:15 - "Behold, I am with you will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

Psalm 28:7 - The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and in am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

Psalm 56:3-4 - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

Matthew 6:34 - "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

Dear God, I am entrusting my life into Your hands. But with that I know that I have some responsibility to take. I am immune deficient, and measles has been spreading again. Even though I had all my vaccines against it, I did not build my antibodies, and boosters are not recommended for me anymore. Even though I had measles six years ago, I still didn't build my antibodies. When I asked with sincerity what religion prohibits vaccines and more specifically if Christianity was cited for a specific passage from the Bible, some lady threw out thou shalt not kill. What she failed to understand though is that not vaccinating could kill me. She also tried to claim MMR comes from fetal tissue. The thing is fetal tissue can come from babies who die of natural causes, still born babies, umbilical cords that would otherwise be trashed, as well as babies who are aborted. I do not feel we should judge people who get abortions because we do not have all the knowledge of why they choose them. The lady chose to stay with her "thou shalt not kill" approach though, so I decided to block her toxic nature. If one is going to say "thou shalt not kill" as an excuse to not vaccinate, then "thou shalt not kill" is all the more reason that Christians should be vaccinating! Unless they have medical reason otherwise, like I do. God, take away my anxiety. Chances are I will not live to 40 either because of the pushy anti-vax people with no medical substantiation or because of the republicans claiming to be Christian but wanting to take away food and healthcare from the disabled. I will trust You to intervene regardless. But You know I already feel measles is the worst curse ever. Thank You for being a shield. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Do Not Allow Worries to Become Idols

Psalm 112:7 - He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.

I Corinthians 13:11 - When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.

Dear God, help me to focus my thoughts on You, and only You. To not out my worries and anxieties over You. Help continue to grow my trust in You. Help me to continue to guard my thoughts. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Focus on God

Genesis 1:26-27 - Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Psalm 8:5 - Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

Isaiah 26:3 - You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

II Corinthians 10:5-6 - We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

Dear God, take every though captive to Yoruself. Help me to concentrate on being obedient to You above all else. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God is with You Always

Psalm 139:1-4 - To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my oath and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Dear God, thank You for always being with me even during the times I may not be as aware of Your presence. Help me to never forget that You are always with me. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Trust is the Golden Pathway to Heaven

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

John 14:1-2 - "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also on me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?"

Dear God, I would much rather follow the high road You are leading me on than the one that just looks easy. Thank You for Your guidance. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Give Up the Illusion

Psalm 112:4 - Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful and righteous.

Psalm 112:7 - he is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.

John 16:33 - "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

Dear God, help me to always trust You even in the darkest of circumstances. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God's Radiant Love and Glory

Psalm 73:23-24 - Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.

II Corinthians 3:18 - And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Hebrews 13:15 - Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Dear God, thank You for transforming me during my intimate moments with You. Help me to continue to focus on You and to be more yielding while You are still creating in me. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Pearl of Great Value

Matthew 13:45-46 - "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fin pearls, who on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it."

John 16:33 - "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

James 1:2-3 - Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

Dear God, help me to continue rejoicing in the face of hardship so I can experience Your peace and blessings through and in spite of them. Thank You for the pearl of great value. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Sufficient Grace and Always Present

Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."

II Corinthians 4:6-7 - For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

II Corinthians 12:9 - But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I Peter 3:3-4 : Do not let your adorning be external–the braiding of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of clothing–but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

Dear God, thank You that Your power is made perfect in my autism, my immune deficiency, my sensory issues, my ADHD, my GI issues, my weaknesses in general. Thank You for never leaving me or forsaking me. I am only human. I make mistakes. It is what I do through those mistakes that determines who I am and how You are working in and through my life. Forgiving Tom or offering him forgiveness if he also will forgive me took a lot of You working in and through me to do. It was not just me, but Your power through my weakness. Trusting You is the harder part though. Thank You for all You do. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Trust God

Psalm 52:8 - But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Dear God, I sometimes falter in my trust. People who I thought were trustworthy often end up proving that they are not. Tom is just one of many examples. The fact that a person cannot be trusted make sit more difficult for me to understand how You can be trusted. But I am trying. Help me to lean more on my trust in You each day, in all circumstances. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

All His - Dependence on God

Deuteronomy 33:27 - "The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, Destroy."

Romans 8:38-39 - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, more height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear God, thank You for having a safety net underneath me as I learn each day to step out in faith with You. Oh, how I wish to feel more secure in the process. Help me keep my focus on You. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God's the Boss

Isaiah 55:9-11 - "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it."

Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Dear God, thank You for having plans for me and orchestrating the events in my life. Help me to always remember that You are there even when I don't feel You there. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Seek God's Face

Psalm 27:8 - You have said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, Lord, do I seek."

Jeremiah 29:13-14 - You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Dear God, I seek Your face as I struggle through some major medical issues again which are causing some financial stress again. I also seek Your face as I ponder the next steps of life's journey. Help me to live radiantly and expand my focus to include You in all my moments. Thank You for being there. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Let God Direct Your Path

Habakkuk 3:19 - God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.

John 21:19 - (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, "Follow me."

II Corinthians 4:17-18 - For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Dear God, thank You for walking with me and leading me on the path I am to follow. It is rocky and treacherous at times, but with You beside me, I know I can make it. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Peace That Passes Understanding

Psalm 118:24 - This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Philippians 4:5-7 - Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 - And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Dear God, thank You for peace that passes understanding even during the times when I feel the least at peace. Thank You for the blessings you have in store me each day, whether they are small or large. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God's Strength in Troubles

Joshua 1:5 - "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you."

Joshua 1:9 - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Matthew 11:28-30 - "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Dear God, thank You for being with me at all times. Thank You for helping me through my troubles. Help me to just relax in Your peace. Thank You for giving me strength as I prepare for this day. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God's Peace

Matthew 14:30 - But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me."

Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 12:1-2 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Dear God, save me! Grant me that peace that passes all understanding. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Grace and the Heart

I Samuel 16:7 - But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or not he height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart."

Romans 8:38-39 - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Dear God, thank You for grace so perfect that nothing I do or do not do will ever separate me from a your presence. Thank You for judging me, not by how I look, but by how my heart is. I wish more people would stop judging what they think they see and start getting to the heart of things. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Each Day Is an Adventure

Psalm 118:24 - This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I Peter 2:21 - For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

Dear God, thank You for being my safe place each day. Thank You for the adventures of each new day. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Abide in God

Exodus 33:14 - And he said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

John 15:4-7 - "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

Dear God, abiding in You. Sometimes it is hard to do. But to remain fruitful, it is a must. I am going to ask You to remind the so-called Christians in D.C. to remember that apart from You, they can do nothing, but also that we will know them by their fruits. So far, they have failed. They have attacked disabled people and disabled veterans by attacking the Social Security. It is disheartening. They still plan to attack the ACA, which oddly was their plan to start with. This again, would be an attack on the disabled. The disabled, the least of these. The very people Your own Son spoke strongly about. Help me to never forget to spend time with You. Even if it is only five minutes or if I can somehow muster ten minutes at once, even it is only five minutes here and five minutes there throughout the day. Never let me stray far from You. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Let Go and Know God

Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"

Colossians 4:2 - Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

II Peter 1:3-4 - His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become par takers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

Dear God, thank You for the work You are doing on the path toward what will hopefully be reconciliation with Tom. Thank You for constant protection and provision even if my family doesn't know how it will happen or when it will happen. Thank You for love, steadfast and eternal and unconditional. Thank You for life. Thank You for doctors who invest in my care. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Treasures in Heaven

Psalm 56:3-4 - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

Matthew 6:19-21 - "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Dear God, I am really trying to keep storing my trust in You. I hope that my bank account of trust in You is growing bigger every day. Because it can be so hard to trust! Thank You for keeping me in Your arms. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

With You and For You

Psalm 46:1-3 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

Luke 1:37 - "For nothing will be impossible with God."

Romans 8:31 - What the shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Dear God, sometimes it can be so hard to wait on Your timing. Like with the forgiveness to and from Tom. But I had to do some personal growing so that I could make that gesture without feeling that I absolutely had to do it. And although I cannot forgive his church overall, particularly those who were the actual abusers, I can forgive him and I can wait on him to forgive me. Because he is still important enough as a person to me for me to do that. And when he does forgive me, it will be all the more beautiful because it will be in Your time, not mine, which means it will not be forced. I was not forced to write that note to offer forgiveness. I did not feel forced nor did I feel pressured. So it felt more natural. And I am trying to learn to rest in your timing. It can seem slow sometimes, but it is important. Thank You for growing me in this area. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Always Present

Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Romans 12:12 - Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Dear God, thank You for being an ever present help for me, not only in troubles, but also in times of peace. I place my hope in You, my hope for blessings, for peace, for reconciliation, for restoration, for health, for provision, for life. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Give Thanks All the Time

Psalm 22:3 - Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

Psalm 146:1-2 - Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I love; I will song praises to my God while I have my being.

I Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Dear God, give thanks in all circumstances. Thank You when I am well. Thank You when I am sick. Thank You for Your care. Thank You for Your provision. Thank You when others attack me for expressing my opinion. Thank You for the care that my family, my real friends, and my doctors have for me. Thank You for the blessings and for the harder times. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

More Than You Can Imagine

Isaiah 40:30-31 - Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Romans 8:6 - To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Ephesians 3:20-21 - Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:13 - And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"

Dear God, help me to not blink and miss all that You are doing in and through my life. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Victorious Life

Psalm 34:17-18 - When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

II Corinthians 5:6-7 - So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Dear God, I need You in everything. I am depending on You to help me feel better from the evil flu. And to my family stay secure financially. And to keep me insured and provided for despite politics. Thank You that I can trust You with anything and everything. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

New Habit of Trusting God

Psalm 63:2 - So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.

Psalm 139:7-10 - Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Isaiah 40:10-11 - Behold, the Lord God Coe,a with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

Dear God, I trust You. In the midst of this battle with the flu, I trust You. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Peace in the Midst of Trouble

Psalm 31:19-20 - Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men; you store them in your shelter from the strife of tongues.

John 16:33 - "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

Dear God, today I really need Your comfort more than Your peace. Today we battle flu in the house. And it is painful. There is a chance I already have it since mom has been tested positive. I am miserable with high fever and hyperactivity, bone pain, coughing from the chest, and post nasal drip. Mom feels far worse than me. Her doctor said it was good I had my vaccine because I have a 50/50 chance of having a less severe case if I get the type mom has. We are going to the clinic this morning though to see if my course of treatment needs to stay as is or change up and try to get some sleep through night cough medicine. I am handing You, again, the thing with Tom. I feel peace about having taken the first step that could lead to restoration and reconciliation. I trust You to bring it about. Thank You just for being. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Relax in God's Presence

Psalm 105:4 - Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

Luke 10:38-42 - Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me." But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her."

Dear God, help me to be like Mary, choosing what is good for me, time with You, rather than choosing what is troubling for me, like Martha. My mind races all over. Rein it in as I relax with You each day. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Do Not Conform to the World

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2 (NIV) - Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you be able to test and approve what God's will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Dear God, I want to have an ever increasing attentiveness to Your presence. I need my mind recharged and refreshed and renewed each and every night and day. While the world may want to make me exactly like everyone else, You did not create me to be exactly like everyone else. You created me to be my own person in You and to follow my own path after You. You created me, autism and all, with a purpose, and no one can change that no matter how hard they might want to try. It will take me a long time to recover from the abuses I went through at Oak Mountain, but I trusted You and took a first step and offered Tom forgiveness and trust You that You will work in his heart to bring about restoration and reconciliation. In today's America, we have a group of people calling themselves Christians but trashing on the president, trashing on the poor, and trashing on anyone who is not white, is not perfect, is differently abled. It is disgusting that they dare do these things while claiming to be Christians. Your words are very clear with respect to the president, the poor, and the differently abled. Your word is very clear with respect to how we are to treat fellow human beings. To do anything else is not Your will. Thank You for renewing my mind everyday and creating me in such a way that being different is actually cool! In Jesus' Name, Amen!
