End the Word - the R Word

Stop using the word "retarded." Why? Because it is derogatory and demeaning. How many times have you said someone was "retarded" or that some thing was "retarded?" Well, stop it now!

On a personal note, I have autism. It does not affect my intellect or my capacity to have emotions. When you use that word with me. it makes me sad and angry. It is devaluing. So please just stop using that word.
