He Is Perpetually with You and Taking Care of You

Matthew 6:34 - "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself,. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

John 10:10 - "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

James 4:13-15 - Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"–yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will love and do this or that."

Dear God, help me to focus solely on the day here and now in the present and not what tomorrow will bring. Is it okay to have plans? Yes. But should I rely on those plans? No. Never. Things some, times fall through when one least expects. So it is never okay to rely on plans. Thank You for the gift of today and thank You for the gift of Your care. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

He Is With You and All Around You

Psalm 34:4-6 - I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

Psalm 139:14 - I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

John 17:3 - "And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

II Peter 1:16-18 - For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory form God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased," we ourselves heard this very voice from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.

Dear God, thank You for allowing me to know You both as Lord and friend. Thank You for designing me with the capacity to be able to know You intimately like a friend but to also be able to worship Your sovereignty. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Open Your Mind and Heart to Receive His Love Fully

John 8:44 - "You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a lair and the father of lies."

Ephesians 3:14-19 - For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith–that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Hebrews 4:16 - Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

James 4:7-8 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Dear God, draw me closer to You as I draw near to You. Help me get in the practice of resisting the devil and resting securely in Your arms. Thank You for love so deep and love so wide that I cannot comprehend it fully. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Relax in His Everlasting Arms

Deuteronomy 33:27 - "The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you said, Destroy."

Psalm 27:13-14 - I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Dear God, thank You for making me needy of You and Your help and presence in my life. There is no shame in being needy. It is humbling. There is a shame in being greedy and selfish though. There is a shame in taking away access to food for the low income disabled and elderly. Or should be. I know I am lacking. I know I need You because I am not self-sufficient. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Come to God and Listen!

Isaiah 50:4 - The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

Isaiah 55:2-3 - "Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear to me, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David."

Matthew 27:50-51 - And Jesus cried out again in a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.

John 19:30 - When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, "It is finished," and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Dear God, thank You for getting rid of the protocols so I can have access to You freely. Too bad some of our world leaders have so much protocol. As a result of their protocols, they do not actually hear the people they are supposed to be serving. They take their money that is given and shut everyone else out. Our words fall on their deaf ears. God, You do listen. Because You do care and You cannot be bought. I surrender to Your hands the situation in D.C. that threatens to take away access to food for so many of our neediest citizens, including the elderly and the disabled. I pray You work through this to teach people not to assume that everyone in need is just lazy or worthless or low lifes. People are so rude about this situation. They do not understand the economics of it. Please do the right thing and pull through for everyone before people have to suffer needlessly over the GOP temper tantrum. Thank You, God. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Pour All of Your Energy into Trusting God

Psalm 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rid and your staff, they comfort me.

Proverbs 29:25 - The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.

Matthew 7:1-2 - "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment that you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured in you."

Dear God, help me to grow in my trust in You. Help me not be jealous when someone seems to have an easier time at something than I do and help me to not look down on someone who is struggling either. Thank You for leading me on my path and being with me on it. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Live First and Foremost in His Presence

Psalm 16:8 - I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Psalm 89:15-16 - Blessed are the people who know the vestal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.

II Peter 1:2 - May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Dear God, I am trying so hard to stay my mind on You, but the news I received last night that SNAP could end up shut down for the disabled and the elderly is devastating. God, I know You would never want that to happen because that is not taking care of the least of these, but the republicans have gotten stuck on Planned Parenthood and throwing a tantrum over something that has not actually been happening to start with. Even if what they believe has been happening, is that any reason to shut down government to the point that people lose access to food? God, help us all please. The republicans are abusing Your good name on this one. I turn this over to You. I have no choice. I never asked to be disabled or allergic to so much food that I would need the help of SNAP, but to have it taken away now? Please God, hear my plea. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Walt with God in the Freedom of Forgiveness

Psalm 68:19 - Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.

I John 1:7-9 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I John 4:18 - There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

Dear God, thank You for forgiveness and grace. Thank You for perfect love that casts out fear. Thank You. Help me to never forget and to never be afraid to come to You. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Trust God and Refuse to Worry

Exodus 15:2 - The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

II Corinthians 10:5 - We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Hebrews 10:23 - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

Dear God, help me to stay my mind on the present and not worry too much about the future. I do have some things that are coming up in the next few days and weeks that do worry me, but what good will it do me to worry? I cannot do anything about them now, today. Worrying about them will not change the outcomes of them. So today, I choose to live in the now and trust You to worry about the future. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Wait Quietly in His Presence

I Kings 19:12 - And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.

Psalm 5:3 - O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.

Dear God, quiet my mind. Still my soul. Make Your voice loud in my innermost being. Speaking love, truth, life, peace into my heart. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Try to See Things from His Perspective

Proverbs 20:24 - A man's steps are from the Lord; how then can man understand his way?

It Corinthians 4:17-18 - For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Dear God, for those troubles I face that are slight, help me to put them into perspective. For those troubles I face that are huge, help me in general not to get bogged down by them and to trust You even more with them. Help me to learn the difference as well. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

There Is a Battle for Your Mind

Romans 8:6 - To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Ephesians 2:4-7 - But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ–by grace you have been saved–and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

I John 2:15 - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

I John 2:17 - And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Dear God, stay my mind on You for my mind on You brings life and peace and joy unspeakable. Help shield me from the thoughts of this world that seek to bring me down and defeat me. Thank You for discernment. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Seek to Please God Above All Else

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

John 8:29 - "And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him."

Colossians 3:23-24 - Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Dear God, I would rather please You than please people. People tend to be easily disappointed no matter how hard I try. But You are please just as long as I am trying. Help me to stay focused on You. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Finding His Peace

Psalm 37:5 - Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

Proverbs 16:9 - The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

I Peter 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Dear God, today has had my mind frazzled. I am sorry I did not manage to break away sooner to spend time with You earlier as I had originally intended to do. I have reaped the repercussions of doing so. I did not have a lot of oeace today. I turn over to You all my worries and fears and anxieties. Thank You for caring for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God Designed You to Live in Union with Him

Psalm 139:13-16 - For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden form you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Mark 8:36 - "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?"

II Corinthians 3:17-18 - Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Dear God, thank You for designing me just the way I am and for knowing me in ways I may not even know myself yet. Thank You for transforming me each and every day into just who You created me to be. Thank You for knowing my days. Help me never lose sight of You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Rest in Him

Numbers 6:24-26 - "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."

Zephaniah 3:17 - The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends."

Dear God, thank You for a rest that I can enjoy with You. For peace that only You can give me. For grace and love experienced in quiet rest with You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Worship Him by Living Close to Him

Genesis 2:5-7 - When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up–for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground–then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

Psalm 89:15-16 - Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.

Romans 12:1-2 - I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Dear God, You breathed life into me. You renew my mind as I walk with You daily. Help me as I make myself a living sacrifice to You and Your path for me. May others see You through my actions. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Come to Him and Rest

Matthew 7:1 - "Judge not, that you not be judged."

John 17:3 - "And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

Romans 9:20-21 - But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to the molder, "Why have you made me like this?" Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honored use and another for dishonorable use?

I Timothy 6:13-16 - I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time–he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

Dear God, forgive me if and when I presume to be judgmental of Your ways, be it how someone else is, how I am, or how the weather is. Goodness, I can be my harshest judge! But what right do I have even to judge myself? None. You created me. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Receive His Peace

Isaiah 30:15-16 - For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength." But you were unwilling, and you said, "No! We will flee upon horses"; therefore you shall flee away; and, "We will ride upon swift steeds"; therefore your pursuers will be swift.

John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you; my oeace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

II Corinthians 10:4 - For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

Dear God, thank You for Your continual gift of Your peace. Help me to be quiet and still so I can be blessed by that peace. Guard my spirit against the weapons of this world. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Rejoice in Him Always

Psalm 102:26-27 - They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end.

Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:12 - I know how to be brought low, and it know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.

Dear God, do not wait until I feel happy to rejoice in You. Rejoice in You always. The. I will be able to be truly fulfilled because You will give me joy like no other. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

He Is Always Available to You

Genesis 28:15 - "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done wah I have promised you."

Isaiah 54:10 - For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed," says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Dear God, You answered a prayer. You allowed my doctors the wisdom to figure out a solution for this two month long ear problem. We are going to try the surgery and hope that works for this. While some may think I am crazy and wonder why I thank You for this, I know that You are in it. I long for the day when I no longer need any surgeries, but until then I will trust in You for You are with me always even when I do not feel You wih me. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Walk with God Along Paths of Trust

Psalm 9:10 - And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Isaiah 26:4 - Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

Dear God, today I turn over to You my CT and ENT follow up. May the doctor figure out why I have had this ear infection for the past two months straight. May they be able to find the solution. I am going to choose to trust You with it today. Help me to not be anxious going into the appointments today. Thank You for making my paths straight. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Accept Each Day Exactly As It Comes to You

Psalm 42:5-6 - Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. My sould is cast down within me; therefore I remember you from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from amount Mizar.

Jeremiah 31:25 - "For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish."

II Corinthians 13:4 - For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him by the power of God.

Dear God, I long for healing from this infection I have been fighting since July. I long for restoration of health. I long for doctors to be wise and to figure out what is going on and to treat the underlying cause. I also choose to trust that You will accomplish this minor thing on the scale of eternity. Thank You for this day on which I am alive and able to breathe in the air You provide for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Enjoy the Warmth of His Presence Shining Upon You

Isaiah 61:10 - I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Romans 8:1-2 - There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Dear God, how I wish more Christians could exemplify the very grace that You are so full of and freely give! If they could only exemplify that grace, NO person with special needs, child or adult, would ever be excluded from any activity in any church because they would be fully embraced as You fully embrace them. You cover them with Your grace. You set them free from the law of sin and death. You do not condemn them. Thank You for Your presence, Your grace, Your love, Your righteousness, and just You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Do Everything in Dependence on Him

Genesis 1:26-27 - Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

John 15:5 - "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in h he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

Ephesians 6:10 - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Dear God, help me to remember that no matter how independent I may become in life that I am still fully dependent upon You to accomplish huge things that have lasting meaning in life. Thank You for creating me to be dependent upon You and Your power. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God Is Your Best Friend As Well As Your King

Isaiah 61:1-3 - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion–to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of oraise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of  the Lord, that he may be glorified.

John 15:13-15 - "Greater live has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you."

II Corinthians 6:3-10 - We out no obstacle in anyone's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; through honor and dishonor, through slander and oraise. We are treated as imposters, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.

Dear God, thank You for being both King and Friend. Thank You for being able to achieve the ultimate balance of peace and adversity, joy and sorrow, beauty from lost lost dreams. Help me to never lose sight of You as I walk the path You have chosen to put me on. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

You Are Safe in Closeness to God

Genesis 3:8-9 - And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to them and and said to him, "Where are you?"

Psalm 32:7 - You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.

John 8:12 - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Dear God, thank You for energizing me when I spend time with You. Thank You for being near me even in times of struggle when I might not be able to necessarily feel You close to me. Thank You for filling the emptiness in my heart that only You can fill. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Let the Dew of His Presence Refresh Your Mind and Heart

Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"

Luke 10:38-42 - Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Matthew was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and dai, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me." But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her."

I Corinthians 14:33 - For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

Dear God, refresh my mind with Your Presence. Prepare me for the day ahead, the good and the bad. Refresh my heart with Your presence. Give me strength and courage and peace and comfort. Help me to not get so distracted that I forget You. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Living in Dependence on God Is a Glorious Adventure

John 14:20 -"In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you."

Acts 17:26-28 - And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for "'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed his offspring.'"

II Corinthians 12:9-10 - But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect  in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Colossians 2:6-7 - Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Dear God, with You, life is always an adventure. Adventure in my strengths and adventure in my weaknesses. Today, give me the strength I need to face whatever adversity may come my way. Give me wisdom to know whether I need the toxicity of the adversity or need to block it out. Strengthen me as I fall into more of an advocacy role in which there will be many attacks from people who feel inconvenienced and would rather murder people because of it than to make reasonable accommodation. Strengthen me when I support a candidate that supports everything You teach me is right and good yet someone wants to attack me by claiming "socialism doesn't work." And for things I cannot change, be with me as I have to trust You more during those moments. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Seek God with Your Whole Being

Deuteronomy 4:29 - But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Psalm 145:20 - The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

Hebrews 10:23 - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

Dear God, I stopped asking why when I go through hard times because I now understand that You have Your reasons. Thank You for always being there through the good and the bad times. Through the times when it is easy to see You and through the times where I am forced to choose to trust You and believe that You are still there or fight on my own. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
