Grow Strong in Your Weakness

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Isaiah 40:28-31 - Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchabke. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

James 4:13-15 - Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"–yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."

Dear God, thank You for making me fragile enough that I have no choice but to lean on You and to trust You. Do I wish I was stronger? Sure. Who wouldn't? But do I need to be stronger? Not really. You clearly have made me stronger through faith in You which I would rather have than my own strength. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

There Is No Place That You Cannot Find Him

Genesis 16:13-14 - So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, "You are a God of seeing," for she said, "Truly here I have seen him who looks after me." Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; it lies between Kadesh and Bered.

Psalm 139:7-10 - Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Zephaniah 3:17 - The lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Dear God, thank You for always being there even when I cannot feel You. Thank You for singing over me with Your song and for Your love and guidance. Surely I can never flee from Your presence! Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Demonstrate Your Trust by Sitting Quietly in His Presence

Proverbs 16:3 - Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Luke 12:22-25 - And he said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.mfor life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?"

Ephesians 6:12 - For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Dear God, help me to remember to put You first each day so that in my time with You I can be refreshed and energized to face whatever the day may bring-good or bad. Thank You for taking care of me. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Grow Strong in the Light of His Presence

Psalm 4:6-8 - There are many who say, "Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!" You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Revelation 21:23 - And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Dear God, thank You for glimpses of heaven during my times with You. Tiny glimpses of the radiance that heaven will be. They are refreshing glimpses. Glory. Radiance. Refreshment. Joy. Hope. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Spend Time with God

Psalm 63:5-8 - My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Dear God, thank You for upholding me with Your right hand. Thank You for shining a light on the oath I need to take. Thank You for being there even when I feel like I am being derailed by the day-to-day confusion and chaos of this world and the mundane. Help me to never get bored or slip into a monotonous routine. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Trust Him in the Midst of a Messy Day

Psalm 105:4 - Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

John 16:33 - "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."

Dear God, thank You for peace sufficient enough to help me not get bogged down by the turmoils of this world. Thank You for constantly being there even when I may be in the midst of confusion and chaos. Thank You for overcoming this world. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

He Is the Eternal I Am

Exodus 3:14 - God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

Psalm 25:14-15 - The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.

I Corinthians 3:16 - Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?

Dear God, help me focus on You especially during our quiet times together. When I get distracted, help me to remember to call Your name so You can refocus me on You. Thank You for being there always. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
